## EliteSpawner Permissions, Storage Tiers and Auto-Sell Perks

**Quick answer:** EliteSpawner splits permissions into **players** (on by default), **staff** (operators by default) and **perks** you hand out through ranks. The master switch is `elitespawner.command`, which is checked before any other command permission. Give ranks a bigger storage with `elitespawner.storage.pages.<tier>`, and offer auto-sell with `elitespawner.autosell`.

## Player permissions

Defaults are true for everyone.

| Permission              | Unlocks                                    |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| elitespawner.command    | Using /elitespawner at all                 |
| elitespawner.place      | Placing spawners                           |
| elitespawner.break      | Breaking spawners                          |
| elitespawner.changetype | Changing a spawner's type with a spawn egg |
| elitespawner.top        | /esp top                                   |
| elitespawner.trust      | Sharing a spawner you own                  |

Deny `elitespawner.command` for a group to lock it out of the command completely.

## Staff permissions

## Perk permissions

| Permission                        | Unlocks                                    |
| --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| elitespawner.autosell             | Turning on auto-sell for a spawner you own |
| elitespawner.storage.pages.<tier> | A bigger storage tier                      |

Storage tier permissions come from the tiers you create in `config.yml`, and you must give them out yourself. Capacity is checked each time the owner opens the spawner, so a rank change applies the next time they open it.

Replace `vip` in the storage permission with the exact tier name you define in `config.yml`. Test with a normal account, since operators bypass most checks. Debug missing nodes with `/lp verbose`. ## Design a rank ladder

| Rank      | Suggested perks                             |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Default   | Place, break and trust. Small storage       |
| Supporter | A larger storage tier                       |
| VIP       | Auto-sell on spawners they own              |
| Staff     | Browsing and debug tools, no creation tools |
| Admin     | Give, boost and reload                      |

## Ownership and trust

EliteSpawner enforces ownership on its own. Only the owner, trusted players or admins with `elitespawner.admin.bypass` can open or break a spawner.

## Action log and moderation

The plugin writes placements, breaks, stack changes, sales and prestige to a daily log, written asynchronously. Use it to investigate disputes and suspected exploits. ## Troubleshooting permissions

| Problem                                  | Check                                              |
| ---------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| "No permission" on /esp                  | elitespawner.command is denied or missing          |
| Players cannot place spawners            | elitespawner.place is set to false for their group |
| Storage did not grow after a rank change | The player must close and reopen the spawner       |
| Auto-sell button missing                 | Missing elitespawner.autosell                      |
| Staff cannot use /esp list               | Missing elitespawner.list                          |
| Players can use staff commands           | A wildcard or operator status grants them          |

## Frequently asked questions

**What is the EliteSpawner permission node?** `elitespawner.command` is the main one. Others follow the `elitespawner.<action>` pattern.

**How do I give VIPs a bigger storage?** Create a tier in `config.yml`, then grant `elitespawner.storage.pages.<tier>` to the group.

**How do I stop a rank from placing spawners?** Set `elitespawner.place` to false for that group.

**How do I let a friend open my spawner?** `/esp trust add <player>`.
