License terms
Current policies for ZCraft Studios resources and services.
License Terms
Last updated: August 8, 2026
These License Terms govern how digital products purchased or otherwise obtained from ZCraft Studios may be used. They apply to Minecraft resources, plugins, Discord bots, configurations, source code, SaaS starters, developer tools, templates, and other digital resources unless a product-specific license states otherwise.
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a ZCraft Studios product, you agree to these License Terms.
1. License Grant
ZCraft Studios grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased product for your own projects, servers, communities, or development work.
This license gives you permission to use the product. It does not transfer ownership or copyright of the product to you.
Your license remains subject to these Terms and any additional license restrictions displayed with the specific product.
2. What You Can Do
Unless the product listing says otherwise, you may:
- Install and use the product on your own Minecraft server, Discord server, website, application, or development environment.
- Configure and customize the product for your own use.
- Modify source code where source code is provided.
- Use the product as part of a larger private or commercial project, provided the product itself is not redistributed.
- Create backups for your own use.
- Use purchased developer resources to build your own original software or services.
If a product is explicitly advertised as allowing commercial use, you may use it within your commercial project according to the applicable product license.
3. What You Cannot Do
Unless you have written permission from ZCraft Studios, you may not:
- Redistribute the original product.
- Resell the product separately or as part of another downloadable resource.
- Upload the product to another marketplace or file-sharing website.
- Give copies of the product to friends, customers, staff, or other third parties who are not licensed to use it.
- Publish the original source code or files publicly.
- Claim the original product or substantial portions of it as your own work.
- Use the product to create a competing downloadable product that substantially reproduces its functionality, assets, source code, or content.
- Remove license restrictions or mechanisms intended to control authorized use.
- Circumvent activation, licensing, download, or access controls.
- Use a single-user license to provide unauthorized access to multiple unrelated users or organizations.
Purchasing a product does not give you permission to redistribute its underlying files.
4. Source Code
Some ZCraft Studios products may include source code.
Having access to source code does not mean that the source code becomes your property.
You may inspect, modify, and adapt source code for permitted use under your license. However, you may not publish, sell, redistribute, or otherwise provide the original source code or a substantially similar version to unauthorized third parties.
You may use modified source code within your own application, server, bot, or service where the resulting use complies with these License Terms.
5. Plugins, Bots and Server Resources
Minecraft plugins, Discord bots, configurations, server setups, and similar resources may be installed on the environments for which they were designed.
You may configure these resources for your own environment.
You may not distribute the original JAR files, source files, configuration packages, bot source, setup files, or other included assets to users who have not been authorized to use them.
If a resource requires a third-party service, API, plugin, library, framework, or platform, that third party's license and terms may also apply.
6. SaaS Starters and Developer Tools
SaaS starters, templates, boilerplates, scripts, and development tools may be used as a foundation for your own software.
You may modify the code and build your own application around it.
You may not simply repackage the purchased source code, make minor changes, and redistribute or sell it as another starter, template, boilerplate, or competing source-code product.
Third-party dependencies included in a product remain subject to their respective licenses.
Where a third-party dependency has separate licensing requirements, those requirements take precedence for that dependency.
7. Commercial Use
Commercial use is permitted only to the extent allowed by the product's license.
For example, unless otherwise restricted, you may use a purchased resource as part of:
- A monetized Minecraft server
- A monetized Discord community
- A commercial website
- A commercial application
- A SaaS product
- A development project for a client
However, commercial use of the product does not give you permission to sell or redistribute the product itself.
If a product has a specific commercial-use restriction, the product-specific restriction takes precedence.
8. Client and Freelance Work
If you are a developer, freelancer, or agency, you may use a licensed product while working on a project for a client, provided the client does not receive an unauthorized copy of the underlying product.
The client may receive the finished implementation or service you create, but you must not provide them with the original ZCraft Studios resource unless they independently have the necessary license.
You are responsible for ensuring that your client's use complies with these Terms.
9. License Ownership
A license is granted to the purchaser or authorized account associated with the purchase.
Licenses may not be sold, transferred, traded, gifted, or assigned to another person or organization unless ZCraft Studios provides written permission.
If a purchase was made through a marketplace such as BuiltByBit, the marketplace account and transaction records may be used to determine the authorized purchaser.
10. Multiple Servers and Environments
Unless a product specifies a server, installation, seat, or usage limit, you may use the product across environments that you personally operate.
This does not permit you to share the product files with other server owners, developers, organizations, or unrelated projects.
Where a product has an explicit installation or server limit, that limit applies instead.
11. Updates
A license normally covers the version of the product made available to you through your purchase.
ZCraft Studios may provide future updates, fixes, improvements, or compatibility releases at its discretion.
An update does not automatically change the license under which the original product was provided unless the updated product includes new or replacement license terms.
12. Third-Party Software
ZCraft Studios products may interact with software and services that we do not control, including:
- Minecraft
- Paper, Spigot, Bukkit, Fabric, Forge, or other server software
- Discord
- Discord APIs
- Hosting providers
- Payment providers
- Libraries and open-source projects
- External APIs and services
Your use of those third-party services remains subject to their own terms and licenses.
ZCraft Studios does not grant you rights to third-party software simply because it is used by or included with one of our products.
13. Open-Source Components
Some products may contain or depend upon open-source software.
Open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses.
Where required, applicable notices or license information may be included with the product or its documentation.
These License Terms do not override rights granted to you under an applicable open-source license.
14. Product Assets
Product assets may include graphics, icons, configuration files, documentation, scripts, source code, templates, examples, and other materials.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, these assets are covered by the same usage restrictions as the product.
You may use included assets within your permitted implementation of the product, but you may not extract and redistribute them as standalone assets or asset packs.
15. AI and Code Generation
You may use AI-assisted development tools to help understand, modify, or work with a purchased product.
However, using AI does not grant permission to reproduce or redistribute the original product.
You remain responsible for ensuring that AI-generated modifications do not result in unauthorized redistribution of ZCraft Studios source code, assets, or other protected material.
16. No Redistribution License
A standard ZCraft Studios purchase is not a redistribution license.
If you need permission to distribute a resource to customers, clients, staff, server networks, or other third parties, contact ZCraft Studios before doing so.
We may provide a separate commercial, extended, or redistribution license where appropriate.
17. Prohibited License Circumvention
You may not attempt to bypass or disable licensing, authentication, download restrictions, access controls, or other mechanisms used to protect ZCraft Studios products.
This includes modifying or distributing a product specifically for the purpose of defeating its licensing or access restrictions.
18. Unauthorized Distribution
If you discover that a ZCraft Studios product has been publicly leaked, redistributed, or uploaded without authorization, please report it to ZCraft Studios.
We may investigate unauthorized distribution and take appropriate action, including requesting removal of infringing copies from platforms or services hosting them.
19. License Termination
Your license remains valid while you comply with these License Terms.
ZCraft Studios may terminate your license if you materially violate these Terms, including by:
- Redistributing paid products without authorization
- Reselling products
- Sharing protected source code
- Circumventing licensing restrictions
- Using fraudulent purchase information
- Repeatedly abusing license access
If your license is terminated, you must stop using the affected product and remove unauthorized copies under your control.
Termination does not prevent ZCraft Studios from pursuing other remedies that may be available under applicable law.
20. Ownership
All intellectual property rights in ZCraft Studios products remain with ZCraft Studios or the applicable third-party rights holder unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Nothing in these License Terms transfers copyright, trademark rights, source-code ownership, or other intellectual property rights to you.
You receive a license to use the product, not ownership of the product.
21. Product-Specific Licenses
Certain products may include additional licensing terms.
If a product page, included license file, documentation, or purchase agreement contains specific restrictions or permissions that differ from these general License Terms, those product-specific terms will apply to that product.
Where the terms conflict, the more specific product license takes precedence for that product.
22. Marketplace Purchases
Products purchased through BuiltByBit may also be subject to BuiltByBit's platform rules, transaction terms, and applicable marketplace agreements.
Where a BuiltByBit requirement applies specifically to a marketplace transaction, that requirement remains applicable.
Nothing in these License Terms is intended to remove rights or obligations imposed by the applicable marketplace.
23. Direct Website Purchases
Products purchased directly through the ZCraft Studios website may be processed through PayPal.
Payment processing does not change the license granted to the product.
A successful payment grants access to the product according to the applicable product license; it does not grant unrestricted redistribution or ownership rights.
24. Contact
If you need an extended license, redistribution permission, commercial licensing arrangement, or clarification about permitted use, contact ZCraft Studios before distributing or incorporating the product.
When in doubt, ask before distributing.
